Your Role

As an AI Product Manager Intern, you will play a hands-on role in shaping Gapaian's product — from uncovering user needs to shipping features that make a real difference.

  • Develop clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that translate user problems into actionable product specs.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to refine requirements, prioritize features, and support implementation.
  • Conduct user research and interviews to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities for Gapaian's product.
  • Synthesize insights and data into product recommendations to improve Gapaian's features and user experience.
  • Learn modern product and AI practices while gaining real, end-to-end work experience in a live startup environment.

Two Tracks

Track A — PM Product
Feature development, ship with engineers, AI-assisted QA, and validated PRD as your final deliverable.
Track B — PM Go-to-Market
GTM strategy, AI-powered content and campaigns, growth experiments, and a complete GTM proposal.
Week 1
Foundation
You’ll be introduced to the company mission, your team, and the consulting-style problem solving framework that guides every phase. You’ll dive into independent market research on the problem space, then collaborate to build a shared issue tree — and get hands-on with the AI-powered tools you’ll use throughout the program.
Week 2–3
Discovery
You’ll conduct real user interviews and market research, learning to ask the right questions and listen for what’s unsaid. You’ll map pain points, identify patterns, and start forming your own hypotheses. AI-assisted synthesis helps you process qualitative data faster — so you can focus on insight, not busywork.
Week 4
Prioritization
You’ll learn to think like a PM — ranking opportunities by impact and feasibility, not just gut instinct. You’ll work directly with engineers to scope what can realistically ship in a two-week sprint, draft product specs, and lock your plan. Leverage AI to stress-test your PRD before it’s final.
Week 5–6
Build & Test
This is where it gets real. You’ll support the engineering team as they build your prioritized features — answering questions, unblocking decisions, and continuing user interviews in parallel. At the end of the sprint, you’ll run QA on the beta, file bugs, and ensure everything is launch-ready.
Week 7
Validate
You’ll put your work in front of actual users and watch what happens. You’ll observe real-world usage, collect structured feedback, and identify where adoption breaks down. Joint problem-solving sessions with leadership help you interpret what you’re seeing and decide what to do about it.
Week 8
Reevaluate
You’ll revisit everything you believed in Week 2 — and honestly assess what held up. This is where the consulting framework pays off: you’ll synthesize new insights from build and validation into a final deliverable that tells a coherent story, with clear recommendations for what comes next.
Week 9
Present
You’ll deliver your personal final presentation to leadership — a chance to showcase your full journey from research to impact. You’ll walk through your methodology, key findings, validated outcomes, and forward-looking recommendations.

Requirements

  • Graduated from high school (SMA/SMK) within the last 4 years, with strong willingness to learn and interest in product and AI.
  • Able to commit around 20 hours per week or more for the duration of the program.
  • Able to work independently with less supervision.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with curiosity to understand users and their needs.
  • Willing to conduct user interviews, desk research, and synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Proactive, open to feedback, and excited to work in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
  • Access to a stable internet connection and laptop for remote collaboration.
  • Some experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or similar.
